Wow, the last two months have flown by like a blur!! I have been so busy with life that I haven't updated my blog forever!! So, Happy New Year and Happy Valentine's!! Now that life has settled down to a dull roar its time to get all the fun Spring crafts going... I'm really hoping for an early Spring- I'm tired of snow and ugly brown winter scenery. I hope everyone is coming out of their long winter naps and ready for green and flowers and gardens- here's to a speedy Spring!!

NATIVITY block set

Hey everyone- sad news. I can't sell my Nativity blocks on Etsy due to copyright laws. The laws state that I can sell them privately but I cannot sell them on a site that gets a commission off of the sell. So, the only way to buy them is directly through me on my blog. BEADBOARD FRAME $30.00 and BEADBOARD FRAME CALENDAR $40.00

So, this is how it all started... I saw a beadboard frame similar to this one at my sister's home that had been given to her as a a gift. A friend and I took the idea, expanded the knobs out to 5 and the rest is history as they say! : ) The frame measures approximately 15" tall and 25 1/2" wide. The knobs are wooden birch cabinet knobs that are painted and the edges sanded. The back is made of primed beadboard. The frame is securely assembled with glue and nails. It has picture hooks and wire on the back to hang it on any wall. These frames are also available in other colors; Barn Red, Beige, or Navy Blue. The frame also looks great on a easel.

Next came the BEADBOARD CALENDAR. I love the idea of cutesy and practical useful all in the same wall hanging! My beadboard calendar encompasses both of these. It is built just like the beadboard frame but taller. It measures 20" tall by 25 1/2" wide. The magnet board measures 8"X11" and is held on with cute flower upholstery tacks. The 12 month calendar is legal size paper with a back page for next years planning. Every month heading of the calendar is accented by scrapbook paper that celebrates that month's theme. Last, but not least the knob on the left holds the monthly changer from each of my twelve hanging sets below. The frame and calendar sell together, but the monthly changer is separate. Each monthly changer sells for $7. These frames are also available in other colors; Barn Red, Beige, or Navy Blue.

WINTER, standing $18.00

Winter is the first of my "Four Seasons" sets. The letters are surrounded by snowflakes that give the illusion of falling snow. The cute snowman face has white sparkly scrapbook paper complimented by a black top hat, orange carrot nose, and reminiscent of coal- black upholstery tacks for the eyes and mouth. The tallest block measures 5 3/4" and the widest block measures 4 1/2".

CUPID, standing $18.00

February is the month of hearts and love. This cute CUPID has letters complimented by small hearts. The wooden chunky heart sits on its side and is accented by cute scrapbook paper and a simple ribbon bow. The tallest block is 5 3/4" and the widest is 4".

SPRING, $20.00

Spring is the second in my "Four Seasons" sets. This season brings hope of bright colors and flowers. I offer two different spring sets, one with a boing flower and one with a vinyl flower. Both flowers have wooden flower centers. The blocks can have a gingham scrapbook paper background or be simply painted. You choose!

LUCKY, hanging $17.00 standing $18.00

Luck o' the Irish! March is the month of hopeful luck! This holiday is one of my favorite because my daughter was born on St. Patrick's Day! The standing LUCKY is accented by a chunky shamrock that stands alone. It has a cute plaid scrapbook background, fun shamrock hearts, and is complimented by a ribbon bow. The hanging LUCKY is very similar, part of the hanging block. Background scrapbook paper may vary. The tallest standing block measures 5 3/4" tall and the widest block is 4 1/4".

Shamrock door hanger. This cute door hanger is made of rough wood and held together with a simple rustic heart and curled wire. It measures about 12" tall.

Easter is full of bright colors and cute bunnies! This HOPPY set is a fun reminder of Easter fun. The bunny face is cute with pink scrapbook inner ears, a fun double flower and brad flower middle, with a cute pink bunny nose. Choose from either a hanging or standing set. The tallest block of the standing set measures 5 3/4" and the widest block is 4 1/2".

Every home needs a cute BUNNY door hanger to celebrate Easter. This bunny face is made of cedar wood with a cute flower made of wood and a wooden center, and wooden nose. The bunny measures about 14" tall.

May Flowers bring hope to warm weather. My BLOOM set is a fun way to celebrate the beauty blooming outside. The flowers replace the two 'O's" in bloom. They are made of a wooden flower background, accented by two different shapes of scrapbook paper petals, and finished off by a wooden middle. They are available in either a hanging set or a sitting block set. The sitting block set has measurements of- the tallest block measure 5 3/4" and the widest block is 4 1/2".

June comes and so do the bumblebees! I hate bees, but love beehives and bumblebees!! This fun BUZZZ set of blocks has a cute beehive accented by scrapbook paper and rickrack ribbon that shows the breaks in the beehive. The fun bumblebee actually boing's off the beehive to give it a 3 dimensional look. Scrapbook paper may vary. You can choose between a hanging set or a sitting set. The sitting set measurements are- the tallest block measures 5 3/4" and the widest block measures 4 1/4".

Summer is a fun time of picnics and bumblebees. This fun SUMMER block set has a watermelon block with gingham green scrapbook paper, a wooden watermelon center that is accented with textured scrapbook paper, and upholstery tacks for watermelon seeds. The bumblebee boing's off the block with wire. The bumblebee is made of fun colors with purple gingham scrapbook paper on its wings.

August brings sun and SUNFLOWERS! I personally love sunflowers!! These fun sunflowers are made of wood- the wooden petals are accented with scrapbook paper, the wooden flower middle is painted the perfect brown and the 'seeds' are actually black upholstery tacks.

August is full of yummy watermelon slices. This fun WATERMELON door hanger is a fun way to celebrate this summer month. It is made of cedar wood in 3 pieces that are held together with criss cross wire and accented with upholstery tacks as watermelon seeds.

The good 'ol Red, White, and Blue. I love the USA! This fun USA set of blocks has two wooden primitive hearts that are accented by scrapbook paper. Scrapbook paper may vary.

July celebrates our LIBERTY. This fun set of blocks features the word Liberty and celebrates with a trio of sparklers. What better way to celebrate our independence! The tallest block measures 5 3/4" and the the widest block is 3 1/2".

Red, White, and Blue celebrates the freedom of our country. This fun FLAG door hanger is a great accent for every home.

School Buses are a sure sign of a new school year! Until recently my children rode a school bus- I loved that bus coming down the road in the morning! This fun hanger has a wooden cut out school bus with yellow textured scrapbook paper.

September brings a new school year and millions of newly sharpened pencils! This cute PENCIL door hanger is made of 3 pieces of cedar wood held together with wire.

AUTUMN $20.00

AUTUMN is the third in the "Four Seasons" blocks. The block set has fun fall colors with a whimsical pumpkin in place of the 'U.' The pumpkin is accented with a wooden center that has scrapbook paper, a wooden stem, and a ivy garland complete with autumn berries. The tallest block measures 5 3/4" and the widest block is 4 1/4".

Happy Halloween!! This fun SPOOK set includes a fun Frankenstein and Mummy. Frankenstein has a wooden set of hair accented by black pin striped scrapbook paper, funny wooden eyes, and a big nose! He also has a crooked wire mouth held on by staples. Mummy is wrapped with first aid wrap and has funny purple eyes and a staple mouth.

Thanksgiving brings thoughts of thankfulness and thoughts of giving. The turkey has wooden feathers accented with two different scrapbook papers for layers of feathers. He has crazy eyes, a heart shaped gobble, and funny orange feet that stand straight out from his wooden body. Limited quantity of GIVE available.

Once I saw how cute the hanging THANKS was with the fun turkey, I had to have a sitting block set. So, this year I created GIVE THANKS. The 'give' block sits on top of the turkey block and is accented by fun autumn colors on either side. The tallest block measures 6" and the widest block is 4 1/2".

MR. TURKEY is a fun way to decorate the outside of your home. He is made with cedar wood. His feathers are fun autumn colors and securely screwed to his body. His face has a great gobble, screw eyes, and staple eyebrows.

Christmas is a special time of year, one we hope is full of PEACE. In the center of a Christmas holiday is the birth of Jesus Christ. The nativity block has a starry scrapbook background with a wooden manger for the baby Jesus who is wrapped in linen and sits on top of moss. Overhead is a star to shine over the baby Jesus. All of the blocks are sprayed with gold glitter spray. The standing set of PEACE- the tallest block measures 5 3/4" and the widest block is 4 1/4". Limited quantity of standing PEACE available.

At my house, Christmas is not complete without lots of nativities out! I actually collect them! So, when my sister-in-law got this idea from a family member, I couldn't resist doing it!! My nativity is complete with Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus. Of course there have to be 3 wisemen, a camel, 2 sheep, a cow, a donkey, and a cute shepherd. The stable is built sturdy out of poplar wood and complete with a sparkly star. I made this set of blocks with small hands in mind- you can leave this out for the children to play with! The tallest block measures 4 1/2" and 3" wide. The stable is 12" wide.

Jolly 'ol St. Nicholas! This fun set of blocks celebrates the Jolly Guy himself! His cheery face has rosy cheeks, moveable eyes, a textured beard and moustache, red nose, and a fabric Santa hat. The tallest block measures 5 3/4" and the widest block is 4 1/4". Limited supply available.
