Wow, the last two months have flown by like a blur!! I have been so busy with life that I haven't updated my blog forever!! So, Happy New Year and Happy Valentine's!! Now that life has settled down to a dull roar its time to get all the fun Spring crafts going... I'm really hoping for an early Spring- I'm tired of snow and ugly brown winter scenery. I hope everyone is coming out of their long winter naps and ready for green and flowers and gardens- here's to a speedy Spring!!

NATIVITY block set

Hey everyone- sad news. I can't sell my Nativity blocks on Etsy due to copyright laws. The laws state that I can sell them privately but I cannot sell them on a site that gets a commission off of the sell. So, the only way to buy them is directly through me on my blog. So, this is how it all started... I saw a beadboard frame similar to this one at my sister's home that had been given to her as a a gift. A friend and I took the idea, expanded the knobs out to 5 and the rest is history as they say! : ) The frame measures approximately 15" tall and 25 1/2" wide. The knobs are wooden birch cabinet knobs that are painted and the edges sanded. The back is made of primed beadboard. The frame is securely assembled with glue and nails. It has picture hooks and wire on the back to hang it on any wall. These frames are also available in other colors; Barn Red, Beige, or Navy Blue. The frame also looks great on a easel.

Next came the BEADBOARD CALENDAR. I love the idea of cutesy and practical useful all in the same wall hanging! My beadboard calendar encompasses both of these. It is built just like the beadboard frame but taller. It measures 20" tall by 25 1/2" wide. The magnet board measures 8"X11" and is held on with cute flower upholstery tacks. The 12 month calendar is legal size paper with a back page for next years planning. Every month heading of the calendar is accented by scrapbook paper that celebrates that month's theme. Last, but not least the knob on the left holds the monthly changer from each of my twelve hanging sets below. The frame and calendar sell together, but the monthly changer is separate. Each monthly changer sells for $7. These frames are also available in other colors; Barn Red, Beige, or Navy Blue.

January is a fun month full of building snowmen or just hoping to build a snowman. This fun "FLAKE" set has whimsical snowflakes surrounding the vinyl lettering. February is the month of hearts and love. My cute CUPID has hearts around the letters. The heart is set off to the left with an arrow and the heart has cute scrapbook paper. The scrapbook paper may vary according to what I can find.

Spring is the second in my "Four Seasons" sets. This season brings hope of bright colors and flowers. I offer two different spring sets, one with a boing flower and one with a vinyl flower. Luck o' the Irish! March is the month of hopeful luck! This holiday is one of my favorite because my daughter was born on St. Patrick's Day! The standing LUCKY is accented by a chunky shamrock that stands alone. It has a cute plaid scrapbook background, fun shamrock hearts, and is complimented by a ribbon bow. The hanging LUCKY is very similar, part of the hanging block. Background scrapbook paper may vary. The tallest standing block measures 5 3/4" tall and the widest block is 4 1/4".

May Flowers bring hope to warm weather. My BLOOM set is a fun way to celebrate the beauty blooming outside. The flowers replace the two 'O's" in bloom. They are made of a wooden flower background, accented by two different shapes of scrapbook paper petals, and finished off by a wooden middle. June comes and so do the bumblebees! I hate bees, but love beehives and bumblebees!! This fun BUZZZ set of blocks has a cute beehive accented by scrapbook paper and rickrack ribbon that shows the breaks in the beehive. Summer is a fun time of picnics and bumblebees. Thanksgiving brings thoughts of thankfulness and thoughts of giving. The turkey has wooden feathers accented with two different scrapbook papers for layers of feathers. He has crazy eyes, a heart shaped gobble, and funny orange feet that stand straight out from his wooden body. Limited quantity of GIVE available.

Once I saw how cute the hanging THANKS was with the fun turkey, I had to have a sitting block set. So, this year I created GIVE THANKS. The 'give' block sits on top of the turkey block and is accented by fun autumn colors on either side. The tallest block measures 6" and the widest block is 4 1/2".

Christmas is a special time of year, one we hope is full of PEACE. In the center of a Christmas holiday is the birth of Jesus Christ. The nativity block has a starry scrapbook background with a wooden manger for the baby Jesus who is wrapped in linen and sits on top of moss. Overhead is a star to shine over the baby Jesus. All of the blocks are sprayed with gold glitter spray. The standing set of PEACE- the tallest block measures 5 3/4" and the widest block is 4 1/4". Limited quantity of standing PEACE available.

At my house, Christmas is not complete without lots of nativities out! I actually collect them! So, when my sister-in-law got this idea from a family member, I couldn't resist doing it!! My nativity is complete with Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus. Of course there have to be 3 wisemen, a camel, 2 sheep, a cow, a donkey, and a cute shepherd. The stable is built sturdy out of poplar wood and complete with a sparkly star. I made this set of blocks with small hands in mind- you can leave this out for the children to play with! The tallest block measures 4 1/2" and 3" wide. The stable is 12" wide.
